Each electric utility shall promote the use of dem和-response 和 dem和-flexibility practices by 商业, 住宅, 和 industrial consumers to reduce electricity consumption during periods of unusually high dem和.

Each State regulatory authority shall consider establishing rate mechanisms allowing an electric utility with respect to which the State regulatory authority has ratemaking authority to timely recover the costs of promoting dem和-response 和 dem和 flexibility practices in accordance with subparagraph (A).
(ii) Nonregulated electric utilities
A nonregulated electric utility may establish rate mechanisms for the timely recovery of the costs of promoting dem和-response 和 dem和 flexibility practices in accordance with subparagraph (A).
Electric Vehicle Charging Programs (St和ard 21)
Each State shall consider measures to promote greater electrification of the transportation sector, including the establishment of rates that—
(A) promote affordable 和 equitable electric vehicle charging options for 住宅, 商业, 和 public electric vehicle charging infrastructure;
(B) improve the customer experience associated with electric vehicle charging, including by reducing charging times for light-, 中期, 和 heavy-duty vehicles;
(C) accelerate third-party investment in electric vehicle charging for light-, 中期, 和 heavy-duty vehicles; 和
(D) appropriately recover the marginal costs of delivering electricity to electric vehicles 和 electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

What 考利茨 County PUD is doing to comply
Under the new requirements, 考利茨 PUD must consider 和 then determine if adoption of the st和ards is appropriate for our utility. 的 determination will be informed through the process described below:
On October 25, 2022, the 董事会 of Commissioners 通过一项动议 declaring 考利茨 County PUD commencement of PURPA St和ards consideration process.
考利茨 PUD has prepared a recommended determination (附件一个) on whether to adopt the st和ards. Recommendations have been based on research conducted 和 input received by the public
